Shred 2010 Basic Edition is intended for users
who have specific files, folders and recycle bin
files to shred using basic, simple shredding
methods.
Shred 2010 Standard Edition excels beyond Basic by offering
Windows Explorer integration and many more proven standard methods
of shredding including official government
standards of the United States Department of
Defense (DOD 5220), US Air Force, US Navy,
British, Russia, Canada, Italy and more.
These methods include shredding VERIFICATION.
The Standard Edition also allows shredding free
space on your hard drive. This removes hidden
traces from files previously deleted, but not yet
overwritten.
Shred 2010 Professional Edition excels beyond
Standard by also offering more methods
of shredding including Peter Gutmann's RLL, MFM
and full 35-pass method as well as Bruce
Schneier's method and our fast, but verifiable
Gale-Force Fast Verify method.
The Professional
Edition also allows PORTABLE. You can
take the Shred 2010 program, with a license file,
anywhere with you (USB) - no need to install in
order to use.
